There Is No Place Like Home!

‘There is no place like home’

Somehow, phrases like this have the power to make us reminisce moments of warmth and love. 

Some would define home as the place where WiFi connects automatically, or associate it with a country or a building. Maybe home is the new apartment we rent or the house where we grew up.

Can an empty space be considered as our home though? Probably not.

Often people say that home is where our heart is. It is not an object and it is not a building. An empty space will never make us feel warm if there is no one there to listen to us, hold us tight and make us laugh.

When we are young, we often consider our home as our family’s house. This is where we grew up and memories of both joy and sadness were created. However, as we get older and we move out, this place becomes ‘our parents house’ and we suddenly find ourselves ‘building’ our own home for our own family.

The meaning of the word ‘home’ changes throughout the years and instead of a place it becomes the people.

The people that will never judge us and will always love us no matter what! The people that will be by our side supporting even our wildest dreams. The people that will stick around when we need them the most. The people that will always make us feel that we belong!
