Rumours...

'I like Rumours. I learn so much about myself that I didn't even know'

This is what I thought when a rumour about me was circulating at work.

On the one hand it was amusing and funny. People that barely know me, talked about me behind my back, making up stories and spreading rumours.
On the other hand it was quite frustrating. Especially when those rumours were untrue.

How disappointing it is to know that these people do the same to everyone else.
They will be really friendly in front of them and behind their back say the worse things ever.

Why do we allow people to influence us so much?

And then I thought...

If they have nothing else to talk about, let them envy you and just ignore them.
Show them that you have more important things to do and nothing they say touches you.
Be confident in your own skin and know that they cannot reach you.

Always remember:

'Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak minds discuss people' -Socrates
