Why Do We Learn To Stop Using Our Imagination As We Grow Older?

Deep inside, this is what we all wish for.
To hide underneath our blankets, draw our own worlds and live in them.

As children, magic was all around us!
Our games were magical, the stories we were told, the books we read, the cartoons we watched. We all had imaginary friends and they were the best company we've ever had.

Why does this change when we grow up? Why do we learn to stop using our imagination? Why does this amazing part of us compromise with the expectations of what an adult should be like?

Some would argue that having children or being around children awakens a part of it. But what happens when the children grow up? What happens when the magic seems temporary and day by day fades away? What happens when society convinces us that we need to grow up?

This world needs more Dreamers. People that will look up at the night sky and see the stars.
People that will find magic in the unnoticed details of everyday life.
People that are willing to stop their loud and busy lives and just stay quiet for a second or two.
People that will stand still and appreciate the tiny miracles of life.
'You know what the issue is with this world? Everyone wants a magical solution to their problem, and everyone refuses to believe in magic!' - Alice in Wonderland
