While on a Flight....

While on a flight, some inspiration was all I needed.
I opened one of the books I had with me, called:
Robert Schumann: Advice for Young Musicians - Revisited by Steven Isserlis [Link to the book: here]

Robert Schumann was a German composer and pianist and is considered to be one of the greatest composers of the Romantic Era. Little did I know that the little book I had in my hands was all the inspiration I needed to look ahead and get motivated to grow as an artist even more.

Here are some of his thoughts and advice to all young musicians that want to grow and never stop learning about their art:

'You can learn a lot from singers, but do not believe everything they say'

'Never miss out on a great Opera'

'If you are gifted with a good voice, do not hesitate to work and develop it - think of it as the most valuable gift that has been given to you by God'

'The purpose of art is not to become rich. When you become a great artist, the rest will follow'

'If your music comes from your heart and soul, and did you feel it yourself, it will operate on others the same way.
