We were walking through the small streets of the island in a summery night.
We wanted to get lost in the tiny paths and discover the beauty the human mind can create.
We were gazing at the houses, the painted doors, the decorated windows, the artistic balconies and we were kind of playing a game trying to figure out which small street leads to the next street or a someone's yard.
This picturesque place couldn't be more beautiful without the couples walking through the small streets holding hands, the groups of friends teasing each other and the families letting their children play around.
Art was all we saw.
Even the local children would be sitting at their houses' doorsteps offering their own creations to the passerby. How can you not resist and complement this child?
The streets were getting smaller and smaller and we ended up in a dark square. You could see nothing but darkness. The only thing you could feel was the strong wind leading you towards the sea.
We walked towards the end of the square where the winds were getting stronger and the night darker. And that was the point we were left breathless.
We turned our heads to see the sky and there it was.
The most beautiful, magical painting I had ever seen.
The night sky full of stars. Hundreds, thousands even millions of stars were up there for us to admire. The milky way was lightly forming and the only thing in our minds was how beautiful this moment was.
This was not a picture edited in Photoshop... this was the real think.
It was so natural to me to take my phone out and try and take a picture. My camera however was not able to capture that magic of the moment and I realized that not everything needs to be displayed in a picture or shared on social media.
Some moments are worth just your time. Where you can see, look, enjoy, feel, hear, sense.
Some moments are like the strong wind passing through your hair, the music it makes through your ears shaking you and making you feel ready to fly. Other moments are like the night sky. Full of stars, Peaceful and Quiet.
And this is where ART is hiding. In the beauty of the moment that no one can intrude or ruin.
If you ever wonder who the true artist is, take a walk in the forest, sit by the sea or the river, look at the night sky. You will not only be amazed by the artistry around you but how strongly can this mastery touch your heart and soul.
'How strange that Nature does not knock, and yet does not intrude' - Emily Dickinson
