How can you define a successful leader?

What are the qualities that come along with a successful leader?

Could it be:

• the way they have impacted the world?
• the way they have changed the lives of others for the better?
• the way they have handled difficult situations?
• the way they have listened to others?
• the way they have paid attention?
• the way they acted or not?
• the way they think?
• they way they have stood up for others?
• the stability and security they make us feel?

There are many definitions out there describing what leadership is. Not many can master this though, because not many know the actual truth....

Leadership means:

• People hurting you
• people betraying you
• people trying to diminish you, your values and your worth
• people calling you names
• people trying to humiliate you
• accepting that everyone will have an opinion about you
• having people around you that will only want to see you fail
• politics
• going against people
• taking risks
• decisions
• struggles
• standing alone
• accepting mistakes and failures
• being strong.
• getting angry
• being mistreated
• being treated unfairly
• and if you are a woman, being a BITCH.

Because, that is the only way you will ever be able to create something meaningful, to create a legacy, to be respected and be proud of the many successes that come by impacting people's lives for the better.

Silently.

These are the successful leaders worth looking up to.  

How lucky can you be to have such leaders have your back whenever you fall, whenever you are hurt, whenever you are threatened, whenever you find yourself trapped and taken advantage of.

Thankful, grateful and blessed. Because sometimes you never realize how lucky you are until time makes it clear to you... Because time will always say the truth... Always.
