What Inspires an Artist to Create?

Artists are often asked what inspires them to create their art.
Their answers amongst others, usually are:

1. Society - its everyday people and the problems it faces.
2. History and its fascinating people.
3. Stories and legends.
4. The beautiful landscapes and sounds of nature.
5. The Universe.
6. All kinds of love and relationships- whether that being family, friends, romantic love, heartbreak etc.

Their inspiration derives from their CURIOUS mind and their IMAGINATION.

How did this person feel during the heartbreak and how can I portray this in my art?
How can I make people travel in the forest and hear the birds singing through my symphony?
How did this historical figure feel when going to battle?
What if things had taken a different turn? What would the ending be?
How can I depict my personal joy through the eyes of my heroine in the book?

Artists are the children that never grow old.
They somehow manifest and keep their need for creativity through the curious eyes and the imagination of a child. They notice the small details and they enlarge them for the rest of the world to notice them too. They claim the power they have to create their reality and make it accessible to everyone else .

How beautiful is it to realize that when reading a book, listening to a piece of music or looking at a painting, you are actually looking at things through the eyes of the artist that created them!

'Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up'- Pablo Picasso
