The Medieval Castle - Her

She was standing alone looking at him.
The garden was full of people coming in and out. The artists on stage were amusing and entertaining the audience, while at the same time the audience was laughing and applauding them.

He was standing on the other side of the garden opposite the main entrance.
He seemed nervous. He was looking at the door and here and then looked at his watch.

He looked so fresh and light, dressed in a very summery and classy way. He never looked at anyone else apart from the door.

People would pass him by, chat with him for a while but his mind was somewhere else.
She could tell that by the way he was acting.

She tried to talk to him earlier. He was polite to her but did not really care about starting a conversation.
On the contrary, as soon as another person came in to talk to him, he turned his back on her and rejected her.

She knew he was not interested, but couldn't understand why it was so difficult for him to just be polite.

She stood there looking at him. It was more as if she was admiring him.
He did not notice her which gave her the opportunity to keep on looking.

Suddenly his face changed. He stood up and she could see his face lighting up.
A lady walked towards him. She was wearing a colourful summer dress, wedge shoes and was wearing her long hair back.
She touched him on his arm, he leaned forward and kissed her.

She froze. She was broken, her heart was broken.
She stood there for a minute looking at them before looking down.
She couldn't bare the sight of it. This numb feeling started heading from her heart to her brain.
She tried to hold her tears back and turned to look at the door.

She took a deep breath and started walking towards the door.
While approaching it, she turned back and looked at him.
He was talking and laughing.
'It is not worth it, there is no point...' - she thought
She headed towards the door acting normal and as if nothing had happened.

She pushed the door and left...
