'Do you know what I've noticed?' she said.
'What?' her friend replied.
'I have known you for so many years but there was never a time when I heard you say that you want a guy. I cannot remember a time when we discussed relationships and hear you say that you want a guy. You always use the word like. You like guys but you never want them'.
She remained silent.
'Even now, you are talking to me about two different guys. You like both of them and you lay down all their positive and negative behaviours. The one seems nice but when you talk about the other guy, your eyes shine in a different way... You, however, still haven't used the word want... you just like him. Do you not want him? What is keeping you back?'.
'I am scared'-she replied.
'Scared of what?' - her friend asked.
'The one is calm and easy-going. He is safe to be with. The other one however is unpredictable and edgy. The first one is funny and we laugh together but with the other one... we discuss ideas and music and deep stuff.'
'Ok... So... What do you want in the long-term?'
'What do you mean' -she asked.
'Do you want to be with someone that will keep everything safe, or would you rather prefer, to be with someone that can sweep you off you feet?'
