'My mum always told me' - the woman said in a serious tone, sharing her wisdom with younger generations.
'In the social ladder where the top indicates wealth and social status, whereas the bottom means poor and neglected, always choose being in the middle'
'Why?' - the curious girl asked.
'Being on the top indicates that at some point you will inevitably fall. When you fall, you will be able to live your life with less than what you were used to? - she asked.
'Probably not'- the girl replied.
'Being at the bottom', she continued, 'means having no will or potential to rise. Therefore you will end up being miserable'
'True'- commented the girl.
'However, being in the middle, indicates the will to rise but also the strength to stand back up at your feet.'
The girl looked at her with amusement.
She knew that rising in the social ladder will always come with benefits and wealth, but she also understood that being humble and down to earth is the only secret in helping you experience life in its fullest. Having the strength to rise and fall is brave but having the courage to stand back up is, above all, the bravest thing.
