Why is society so judgmental?
Why does society find it so easy to belittle others?
Why is society so cruel to people, especially in the beginning of their journey? Whether that would be a new job, a new position or a new relationship?
Why are we so mean to each other?
Why are we growing up teaching our children to be cruel to one another instead of kind?
Why am I just like them?
Whenever there is a new person in a job, a new relationship on the horizon, a new neighbour in the neighbourhood, we all find ourselves judging one another.
Why don't we just take a step back and reflect on our behaviour?
Why don't we just have faith in another's decision to get the new job, accept the promotion, be in a new relationship, move to a new neighbourhood?
I would much rather teach my children to be kind and offer a helping hand to someone daring to be in the arena, instead of being the people off the arena, pointing fingers and belittling another.
We have all been in positions where we got a new job or we made a mistake and people made fun of us. In those moments, we all hoped for a helping hand.
I would much rather teach my children to offer a helping hand and have the patience to wait before judging someone's abilities.
It is easier to wait for someone to fail instead of giving them the chance to prove their worth.
I hope one day, we all learn (including me) to stand next to each other instead of opposite each other.
