Connect with a person you value their opinion of you, that might be a friend, a relative, a parent etc. and ask them to reassure you that everything will be ok and no matter what happens, they will be by your side supporting you. Sometimes, having someone close to you saying "I will be there for you no matter what" is all you need to calm your anxiety and silence your mind.

Can psychotherapy help heal anxiety?

Psychotherapy breaks down the different stages of anxiety through the cognitive behavioural therapy as mentioned below:
  1. Cognitive part - Endless worry
  2. Physical Symptoms - Racing heart, hypervigilance
  3. Behavioural Symptoms - Fear, avoidance in taking actions. 
In the end, the patient learns to challenge their thoughts and examine the evidence that would lead to the outcome their mind has been producing, causing them negative thoughts.

Can medication help heal anxiety?
Since anxiety involves many brain and body systems, it is considered complex yo cure. However, medication can calm the nervous system by lowering the levels of anxiety so that the patient can focus on dealing with their thoughts following the cognitive behavioural therapy mentioned above.
